The past two years have heralded a massive transformation in how content is created and viewed, and accelerated digital entertainment that viewers can now view it in the comfort of their homes. Young trailblazers – be it filmmakers, actors, technicians or even social media influencers – have been at the forefront of spearheading this change in content delivery and consumption, and ushering in the OTT revolution through their work.
After the massive success of the country’s first-ever multi-lingual awards show, OTTplay Awards, last year, the inaugural edition of the OTTplay Changemakers Awards will continue the legacy, by honouring exemplary young talent in the entertainment industry, as well as content creators, whose work has been lauded across the country. While the faces in films and web series are consistently recognised for their efforts, this marquee event from the house of Hindustan Times aims to felicitate not only those in front, but those behind the camera as well, whose technical expertise have made people within the country and abroad stand up and take notice. This will also be the first-ever national platform to honour digital content creators and social media influencers for their engaging and entertaining content.
OTTPlay Changemakers is an effort to empower them to continue this brilliant endeavour and shine on.
