The Ba***ds of Bollywood, directed by Aryan Khan, created a stir on social media since its release. The series received praise for all the Bollywood references, sharp acting, and quirky dialogue. One of the scenes in the series was definitely Mona Singh's recreation of Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela, which went viral on social media, leaving some fans to ponder whether Mona was actually in the 1997 movie Gupt: The Hidden Truth with Bobby Deol or not. In a new interview, Mona shared the process of the viral recreation.
Speaking to Filmfare, Mona Singh opened up about the challenges of recreating the iconic song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela in The Ba***ds of Bollywood. She said that the filming process was “pretty tricky”.
Mona shared, “I did not shoot with Bobby because his original version was already there. I had to shoot my bit. It was pretty tricky because we had to match all the steps right, to the T. Interestingly, there was this proper frame given to me – this is the only space I have to move in and out. I followed that.”

The actress further shared that the production wanted a late '90s aesthetic, right down to the costumes, makeup, and hairstyles. “Right from the outfit to the makeup to the hairstyle – everything was taken care of. We did not want to lag in anything. But I was having fun. I was really having a lot of fun while making it look absolutely real," she said.
