Directed by Karan Johar, this coming of age comedy drama was Alia Bhatt’s first film. Abhimanyu (Sidharth Malhotra) and Rohan (Varun Dhawan) are best friends in college. Abhimanyu soon starts falling in love with Shanaya, who is Rohan’s girlfriend. Their friendship is soon affected before they have to meet again years later in life.

Kavya Pratap Singh (Alia) comes from a well off family in Ambala and is set to marry an NRI. She goes to Delhi to find the perfect dress for the wedding, where she meets Humpty Sharma (Varun Dhawan). The two soon fall in love and have to make the trip back to Kavya’s household.
