It was the French film Taxi (1998) that put Marion Cotillard on the map, and soon she was scouted to appear in many coveted Hollywood projects. The French star has, throughout her career, taken up a range of roles that have never failed to charm audience and critics alike. Her portrayal of French singer Edith Piaf in Olivier Dahan's La Vi en Rose won her a Best Actress Oscar.

She has since then been honoured with many acting awards, and was also decorated by the French government for her contribution to arts and cinema.
