As you wait for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder, watch these 7 movies of the actor on OTT

Chris Hemsworth is undoubtedly most known for his portrayal of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But the Australian born actor has also starred in a number of other movies, playing characters that are not the God of Thunder. From a huntsman in the land of the kingdom of Tabor to a Man In Black looking after the aliens, the actor has essayed a few interesting characters in his career so far. So here are seven Chris Hemsworth movies to keep you company as you wait for the release of Thor: Love and Thunder on July 7.

Snow White and the Huntsman
Everyone knows the story of Snow White and the evil queen, but in this retelling of the tale, we see that Snow White (Kristen Stewart) is imprisoned by her evil stepmother (Charlize Theron). As Snow White escapes into the forest, the queen gets Eric the huntsman (Chirs) to fetch her back. The movie is action-packed and has enough and more elements of fantasy the story is known for. Chris Hemsworth plays a brooding character who turns the leaf, and we just find ourselves backing his every move.
One of the actor’s more recent movies, Extraction has Hemsworth as an all-out action star. The Netflix movie has him play a former SASR operator-turned-black ops mercenary who is on a mission. The movie, which became a massive hit on the streaming platform, also has a strong Indian connection with actors such as Randeep Hooda and Pankaj Tripathi making appearances in it.

Ghostbusters are the group, fans have been calling when there is something strange in their neighborhood since the movie’s release in1984. The studio rebooted the franchise with a third movie in 2016, with a female lead cast. While the movie was not the biggest success at the box office, it is still a decent watch and Hemsworth plays a jock who is hired as a receptionist, working for the "Conductors of the Metaphysical Examination".
12 Strong
Based on Doug Stanton's non-fiction book Horse Soldiers, the movie follows U.S. Army Special Forces who are sent to Afghanistan as the immediate aftermath of the September 11 attack. The action war movie has a strong cast that also includes Michael Shannon, Michael Peña, Navid Negahban and Rob Riggle and makes for a captivating watch.
Bad Times at the El Royale
While this neo-noir thriller, directed by Drew Goddard, was not the biggest hit, the movie has some memorable moments and a fantastic soundtrack. Also starring Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Bridges, Jon Hamm and Dakota Johnson, the movie is a fun watch, set in the 60’s.
Men in Black: International
Men In Black has been a fan-favourite franchise ever since the first movie starring Will Smith came out. This standalone sequel is set in the same universe where the Men In Black look over the alien population on Earth. Co-starring Tessa Thompson, the movie is a fun movie for fans of the original franchise.
Let’s be clear, Chris Hemsworth only has a small role to play in this hilarious comedy, led by Ed Helms and Christina Applegate, but what his runtime lacks, he makes up more than enough with a few scenes. The movie follows a normal family on a fateful vacation road trip, and is certified funny. If you are into comedies, this one is the perfect pick.
