Nair Saab revolves around the story of Major Ravindran Nair (Nair Saab), portrayed by Mammootty and his new trainee cadets at the army training center in Kashmir. Insiders from the army help a cartel import drugs from an enemy country and in an encounter, one of the trainee cadets is killed. Nair Saab is targeted by the underworld for the drug deal, forcing him to flee the camp. He has to fight both the enemies from the outside country as well as the enemies inside his own camp.
Mohanlal played the role of Captain Roy Jacob, who has to rescue his colleagues from a crashed aircraft as well as save some highly confidential documents from the hands of terrorists. Also starring Suresh Gopi and Babu Antony, Douthyam had excellently choreographed action sequences.

Starring Mammootty in the lead role, Mission 90 Days spoke about the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. Based on true incidents from the assassination, the movie’s story was built on facts. The movie portrayed the side of both the murderer as well as the victim.
