Great news for Marvel fans! It's finally Black Widow week. Marvel’s most anticipated movie will be releasing this Friday. Scarlett Johansson has been portraying the role of this highly skilled assassin since the Iron Man movies and we all are excited for her standalone film.

While marvel fans are familiar with Scarlett Johansson, the actor is also known for her diverse roles outside the MCU. Her two and a half decade long career started with a small role in the 1994 film North. She has also been nominated for multiple awards including twice for the Oscars for her performance in Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit. While we wait for Black Widow to release this week, here are 6 non- marvel Scarlett Johansson movies that you should watch.

Let's take a look:

Marriage Story
7.6OTTplay Rating
Scarlett Johansson grabbed the audience's attention with her raw and powerful emotions in this movie. Marriage story, starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson in the lead role, tells the story of how a romantic relationship and marriage comes to an end. The movie was an unconventional portrayal of romance and it's challenging sides.
The Prestige
8.6OTTplay Rating
This Christopher Nolan masterpiece starred Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson. For her role in The Prestige, Scarlett had to adopt a British accent which she did brilliantly. She plays the role of the film's femme fatale who is caught up in a rivalry between two 19th century magicians, fighting on who is the better illusionist.
6.9OTTplay Rating
What happens if you use 100% of your brain? Lucy asked the viewers this question and gave us a very confusing answer. Scarlett Johansson plays the titular role, Lucy, a college student who develops superpowers after accidentally absorbing huge amounts of a mysterious drug. She can control electronics, she is super smart and has immense physical abilities. This movie is far from reality but Scarlett Johansson's acting helps to sell it.
Lost in Translation
7.5OTTplay Rating
In this autobiographical film by Sofia Coppola, Scarlett Johansson plays the lead role of an aimless young woman named Charlotte. Charlotte is living her life in Tokyo while her photographer husband is pursuing his career. There she meets an aging movie star (Bill Murray) and develops an unusual friendship. Lost in Translation was a perfect fit for Scarlett Johansson's appeal at that time - a young, beautiful, unhappy seeker.
Girl with a Pearl Earring
7.3OTTplay Rating
Directed by Peter Webber, Girl With a Pearl Earring was a movie where Scarlett Johansson plays a silent but expressive character. The director said that he wanted to repress Scarlett Johansson's outgoing, intelligent and zippy personality and make her fit for the role. And she did it excellently.
Jojo Rabbit
8.4OTTplay Rating
Directed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Jojo Rabbit was a bold World War II satire. Scarlett Johansson plays the character Rosie, mother of the titular character. Rosie is a kind german woman with a bit of humanity left in her. She decides to hide a Jewish girl in her attic to save her. But her son Jojo is apprehensive of this plan.
