Director Ruchir Arun and actor Saqib Saleem have been part of different anthologies before. Saqib was seen in Bombay Talkies, an anthology directed by Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap, which marked the celebration of 100th year of Indian cinema. He has been a part of other anthologies on OTT as well, like Aisa Waise Pyaar while Ruchir Arun has helmed a film for Feels Like Ishq. And now, the two are collaborating together for a film Teen Tigada for the Amazon Prime Original anthology Unpaused 2, which tells the story of hope, love and positivity during these unprecedented times of the pandemic. 

In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, the two spoke about the film and also the OTT shows and movies they are watching currently and would like to recommend to their fans.

The Crown Season 6

Saqib Saleem is currently watching The Crown. "I have a lot of backlogs. I have been far behind. I am just finishing The Crown now," he says. The historical drama is about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, created and principally written by Peter Morgan. The series has released four seasons as of now and covers the queen's life, from the time she got married to Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947. Each season spans different time periods and features different actors to play the role of the queen to show the ageing process. The first and second seasons have Claire Foy as the Queen, alongside Matt Smith as Prince Philip and Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret. In the third and fourth seasons, Olivia Colman plays the Queen, alongside Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret. The next season is expected to release in November this year.

Shark Tank India

The show is the Indian franchise of the American show Shark Tank. The business reality TV show is about entrepreneurs presenting their business pitches to a panel of five investors or 'sharks', who decide if they would like to invest in their company or not. The show is hosted by Rannvijay Singha. It reportedly received 62,000 aspirants from India, of which 198 businesses were shortlisted to pitch their ideas to the self-made multi-millionaires. Saqib Saleem has been following the show. He says, "I really the Indian version as a show."

Ruchir Arun says he really enjoyed watching the series and recommends watching it at least once. "Actors ne kya kaam kia hai. You should watch it at least once," he says. The thriller series is directed by Ajitpal Singh and created by Harman Wadala. It stars Supriya Pathak, Pavan Malhotra, Gagan Arora, Kanwaljit Singh and Ranvir Shorey in lead roles. Its dark story is about a Singh family who shares a great bond with each other. It shows to what extent can one go to save his family from the repercussions of an unfortunate event.

Little Things

Little Things is about a couple in a live-in relationship and how they navigate the ups and downs in their lives, relationship and work. The modern-day relationship saga is set in Mumbai and has four seasons. The series starred Mithila Palkar and Dhruv Sehgal. The first season was released on the YouTube channel of Dice Media and later, Netflix purchased the franchise. The show has been received well by the audience and critics alike and has won several awards. The actor Mithila went on to also bag the Filmfare OTT award for the Best Actor in Comedy Series and Dhruv Sehgal won the Critics Choice Shorts & Series Awards.
