Dangal earned Rs 1,924.7 crore at the box office. The Nitesh Tiwari-directed film stars Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Sakshi Tanwar, and Aparshakti Khurrana in major roles. It was released in December 2015.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion
Mahendra Baahubali prepares an army to attack Bhallaladeva and free his mother from the latter's captivity after discovering that his father was ruthlessly murdered by Kattapa. The Bahubali sequel earned about Rs 1,749 crore at the box office. The sequel to the famous film, starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty in major roles. The SS Rajamouli film released in 2017.
This is the latest SS Rajamouli offering. The storyline revolves around two great real-life revolutionaries Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju and their fictional far-flung adventure, fighting the British colonial powers in the 1920s. RRR earned about Rs 1,114.5 crore and is still running in theatres. The SS Rajamouli film features Ram Charan, Jr NTR in the lead roles and Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in extended cameos.
K.G.F. Chapter 2
Rocky Bhai, whose reputation strikes dread in the hearts of his opponents, has taken over the blood-soaked area of Kolar Gold Fields. His allies look up to him as their Messiah, the government views him as a threat, and his rivals look to seek vengeance. KGF: Chapter 2 earned Rs 939.2 crore so far and is still running. KGF: Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, features Yash in the lead role, alongside Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj and Raveena Tandon in major roles.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan
One little Pakistani voiceless girl gets lost in India and has no way to get back. A loving man with a generous and innocent heart takes on the duty of reuniting her with her mother in the neighbouring country, which is India’s biggest enemy. It made about Rs 858.8 crore at the box office. The Kabir Khan directed 2015 film stars Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles.
Secret Superstar
Insia, a promising young woman, aspires to be a musician but is opposed by her father. With great determination, she continues to pursue her love by uploading her music on the Internet anonymously. Secret Superstar made about Rs 830.8 crore. The 2017 film, directed by Advait Chandan, features Zaira Wasim, Aamir Khan and Meher Vij in major roles.
Unusual questions are asked by a stranger in the city. The man, identified only by his initials, takes on a journey of love, humor, and letting go of his silly questions and naive curiosity on earth. PK earned Rs 742.3 crore at the box office. Raju Hirani directed the film, which released in December 2014. It features Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Sushant Singh Rajput and Boman Irani in major roles.
Doctor Vaseegaran and his android assistant, Nila, are summoned to the incident when mobile phones began to fly out of people's hands in Chennai. Together, they fight Pakshi Rajan's mystical abilities. 2.0 made about Rs 654.4 crore. The Shankar-directed film of 2018 is a sequel to the famous film Robot. It stars superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in major roles.
Sultan Ali Khan, portrayed by Salman Khan, a middle-aged wrestler, retires from the sport following the death of his son. Years later, he decides to get back to the ring because he requires the cash prize and wishes to restore his lost respect. Sultan made about Rs 614.9 crore. The movie was released in 2016 and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also features Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh in major roles.
Baahubali: The Beginning
Shivudu discovers his family's complex past and heritage while seeking his love in the kingdom of Mahishmati. He must now prepare to face his recently discovered arch-enemy. That’s what the film Baahubali is about. Baahubali earned about Rs 600.6 crore at the box office. The 2015 film by SS Rajamouli probably changed the Indian box office forever, breaking records and putting regional cinema on the map. The film features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj in major roles.
