Hollywood heavy-hitter Jennifer Lawrence is one of the highest paid and sought-after actors in the film industry. She’s been listed in the prestigious Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people. She has raked in several accolades and became the second youngest recipient of the Academy Award for Best Actress. She was only 22 when she won the award for the film Silver Linings Playbook. Her films, most of them being high grossers, span over different genres portraying her incredible talent as a performer.

Jennifer Lawrence’s raw portrayal of the volatile woman, struggling with the loss of a loved one while trying to keep her own mental illness at bay, earned her the praise of fans and critics and an Academy Award for Best Actress.
American Hustle

Inspired by a real FBI sting operation in the 1970s, American Hustle tells the story of a pair of con artists who are roped in by the authorities to be part of a sting called the ‘hustle’, to nab corrupt politicians. Jennifer Lawrence plays the part of the wife of one of the con artists, who is cruel, and constantly blackmails and threatens her husband that leads him to have an extra-marital affair. Lawrence’s performance as the unsettling character earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Feeling lonely, he is smitten with another passenger played by Jennifer Lawrence. He deliberately wakes her up so that she can join him. The rest of the movie follows the two as they learn to navigate their strange situation. Lawrence puts up a convincing and powerful performance as an innocent woman who discovers that the man she has fallen in love with is an obsessed saboteur. Her chemistry with the co-actor Chris Pratt was also lauded.

Jennifer Lawrence’s performance received critical acclaim, with many calling it one of the highlights of the film. Her authentic portrayal of the agent is sure to be remembered.
