R Madhavan is celebrating his birthday on June 1 and has turned 52 this year. The actor is currently gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. In the film, the actor plays the titular role of Nambi Narayanan, and fans can't wait to witness it on the big screen. In his nearly three-decade-long journey, Madhavan has made a mark on himself in Indian cinema. The actor started with a Hindi TV show, Yule Love Stories, on ZEE TV in 1993.

Soon after that, he made it to the big screen with an English film titled Inferno in 1997. His first Indian film is the Kannada rom-com Shanthi Shanthi Shanthi, which was released in the year 1998. Since then, there has been no turning back for Madhavan. The actor has been a part of several Indian language films, including Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam.

Not just that, Madhavan was among the first Indian actors to make it to OTT back in 2018 with the hit Amazon Prime Video series, Breathe.

Srinivas directed Shanti Shanti Shanti, a romantic comedy-drama released in Kannada in 1998. Abbas, R Madhavan, Prakash Raj, Prema, Avni Vasa, and Satish Shah played the key parts in the film. The film gained notoriety for a succession of creative ideas in the Kannada cinema industry as it was being made. It was the first film to feature both a website and six-track DTS audio. R Madhavan's previous film was in English, hence this is his first foray into Indian cinema.
