SS Rajamouli is widely regarded to be one of the most prolific filmmakers in the Indian film industry, having upscaled the very visual experience that is film watching. The director, who primarily makes films in Telugu cinema, mounts the scale of his films lavishly and weaves in an engaging storyline with immense popular appeal and more characteristically, swashbuckling heroism. The Padma Shri awardee specializes in the fantasy action film genre, which is evidenced by his successful films Magadheera, Eega, and the career-defining and groundbreaking Baahubali movies. Rajamouli debuted as a filmmaker with the Jr. NTR starrer Student No. 1, and his second directorial was Simhadri. He has largely made films based on the scripts by his father K.V. Vijayendra Prasad and also co-wrote the story with him in quite a few films.

On his birthday today, OTTPlay lists some of his most well-known and well-loved films for your binge-watching, that straddled commercial success with critical acclaim.
