The streaming giant Lionsgate Play has come up with an interesting line-up of shows and movies for January 2022. The line-up includes some nail-biting thrillers, beautiful romances, funny series and edge-of-the-seat crime stories. These drama are sure to make your New Year celebrations going. The Escort

The rom-com is about a journalist who is a sex addict. Desperate for a good story, he enters the world of escorts when he meets and starts following a Stanford-educated prostitute Natalie. Starring Lyndsy Fonseca and Michael Doneger in lead roles, the film is helmed by Will Slocombe.
The Goes Wrong Show

The comedy series focuses on the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society and their plays on live television before a live studio audience. The show, based on The Play That Goes Wrong, the internationally successful, award-winning Mischief Theatre brand, is renewed for another season. It is directed by Martin Dennis and stars Henry Shields, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer in lead roles.

A thriller film, it stars Sophie Turner in the titular role, supported by an ensemble cast of Jack Kilmer, Micah Fitzgerald, Lombardo Boyar, Daeg Faerch, Robin Bartlett, and Kurt Fuller. The story revolves around Hank, a recluse living his life and his mysterious student who gets transferred from the town of Baymont. The film is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat.

A critically acclaimed crime drama series, it tells the story of James St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) aka Ghost a ruthless drug dealer and how he would like to leave his criminal world behind and live a righteous life, doing legitimate business. One of the most-watched shows, it shows how the lead character tries to balance his life while also ensuring that he does not get arrested by the police, and also trying to save his failing marriage and business.

It follows the story of a trumpet player Nick Vaughan who practices at Grand Central Terminal at late night and Brooke Dalton, an art consultant who is in town to close a deal and misses her train.

A biographical film directed by Andy Serkis is based on the true love story of Robin and Diana Cavendish. The film stars Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy as the adventurous couple who do not give up on each other even after Robin gets paralysed from the neck down due to polio at the age of 28. The film also stars Hugh Bonneville, Tom Hollander, Ed Speleers, and Dean-Charles Chapman in supporting roles and marks the directorial debut of Andy Serkis. The film went on to become one of the most-watched romantic films in recent times.

The sci-fi film is directed by Edward John Drake and stars Neal McDonough and Bruce Willis. It tells the story of an ex-cop James Malone who was sentenced to life imprisonment for a crime he has not committed. He is offered a deal for his freedom. He could be let free only if he participates in a deadly game called Apex in return.
Black Mafia Family

Set in the late 1980s, the crime drama series revolves around two brothers who grow up on the streets of southwest Detroit. The series is inspired by the exploits of the Black Mafia Family, a drug and money laundering organisation. It is helmed by Randy Huggins and stars Russell Hornsby, Demetrius Flenory Jr. Da'Vinchi and Michole Briana White in lead roles.

Set in the ’90s and present-day Russia, the espionage drama series follows a strong female protagonist who is now living a double life with her family, being completely unaware of the secrets from her past. A loving mother and a wife, she is also one of the most dangerous contract killers.
