Sultan Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed the 2018 Indian historical drama film Padmaavat. The film is based on Malik Muhammad Jayasi's epic poem of the same name. Bajirao Mastani is another historical film where Ranveer Singh aced as Peshwa Bajirao. The film was his second collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The 2015 epic historical romance film tells the story of Maratha Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife, Mastani. Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra also feature in the major roles. Ranveer Singh as Simmba was humorous, clever, and energetic, and proved that he is a fantastic fit for the role in Rohit Shetty's action film. Also starring Sonu Sood, and Sara Ali Khan, the 2018 film revolves around a dishonest police officer who works for Durva, a wealthy smuggler but has a change of heart when his carelessness leads to the rape of a woman by one of Durva's brothers. Kapil Dev in 83 Ranveer Singh plays the part of Indian captain Kapil Dev in this sports biopic and he did an excellent job of portraying his persona. Despite never playing cricket in his life, he delivered a believable performance as the sportsman, who led the Indian team to win the 1983 World Cup. Kabir Khan wrote and directed the film ’83. Band Baaja Baaraat
Bittoo Sharma in Band Baaja Baaraat This is Ranveer Singh's first Hindi film and his effortless performance as the Delhi boy, Bittoo Sharma, won the hearts of the people. Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela
Ram Rajadi in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela Though Ranveer Singh had made a mark in the industry with his performances, it was Ram Leela that got him listed among the top actors of the industry. Ali Abbas Zafar wrote and directed the 2014 action drama film, which starred him alongside Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Irrfan Khan. Varun in Lootera Lootera is a periodic romantic drama film, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane that was released in 2013. Inspired by author O. Henry's 1907 short novel The Last Leaf, it features Ranveer Singh, opposite Sonakshi Sinha. The plot revolves on an aristocrat's daughter falling in love with a researcher. Ranveer Singh's performance in Lootera is one of his greatest. Ranveer followed a clearly separate set of rules for this film and portrayed the role very cleverly, giving attention to minute details of his character. Lootera is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
