The long awaited teaser for The Jurassic World: Dominion teaser has provided a sneak peek into the third and final installment to the Jurassic World trilogy. The film, delayed as result of the pandemic, is expected to be released in 2022. The film will also feature some of the original cast from the Jurassic Park trilogy such as Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum. The following is a list of the best feature films about dinosaurs to watch on OTT until you wait for the epic conclusion.

1
Dinosaur
6.8OTTplay Rating
This animated gem from 2000 is a heartwarming tale of an Iguanodon brought up by a family of Lemurs. The plot revolves around dinosaurs and other animals having to find new nesting grounds as a result of a meteor shower. Just like any good dino-flick, this film also features a big bad carnivore, the Carnotaurus. A Carnotaurus does make an appearance in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom at the very beginning only to be killed by a Tyrannosaurus Rex almost instantly.
2
The Good Dinosaur
7.2OTTplay Rating
One of the newer animated films on this list. It is yet another heartwarming tale by Disney. It is set in an alternative reality where the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs does not strike Earth, and the dinosaurs become the dominant species. The story focuses on the friendship between a young Apatosaurus and his pet caveboy as they embark on an adventure to find their way back home.
3
Jurassic Park
8.4OTTplay Rating
The original and the greatest dinosaur movie ever made. This timeless classic directed by Steven Spielberg is arguably one of the most popular films of the 20th century. Based on iconic sci-fi writer Michael Crichton’s novel of the same name, the film sparked the imagination of a whole generation in the 90s. Crichton admittedly did take a few liberties with the accuracy of some of the dinosaurs in his novels which was unfortunately translated into the movies as well. The sequels The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III are also available to stream on Prime Video.
4
King Kong
7.4OTTplay Rating
King Kong movies have had many reboots and sequels over the years, and some of them have featured big bad Tyrannosauruses. This film features bipedal predators as a threat to Kong and the humans. The film has an ensemble cast of Naomi Watts, Andy Serkis, Jack Black, Adrien Brody, and Colin Hanks.
5
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
6.7OTTplay Rating
The third instalment of the famous Disney animated franchise introduced Dinosaurs. The lovable trio of Manny the mammoth, Sid the sloth, and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger, return with their bigger ‘Herd’ as they embark on another adventure that involves large dinosaur predators.
6
Journey to the Center of the Earth
3.2OTTplay Rating
The film may not have been the most well-received, but it nevertheless had plenty of action and plenty of fun. It is loosely based on Jules Verne’s novel of the same name. The film stars iconic comedy/action star Brendan Fraser, from The Mummy. As a result of its commercial success, a sequel, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island was released in 2012 starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
7
Land of the Lost
5.4OTTplay Rating
A film that made its way on this list, not on merit, but simply because it has dinosaurs and Will Ferrell. This Razzie award nominee did have its moments with some action and humour. The plot is about a disgraced palaeontologist and his ragtag group of adventurers’ journey into the Land of the Lost.
8
Jurassic World
7.2OTTplay Rating
Jurassic World was a soft reboot of the original Jurassic Park. Released in 2015, the creators decided to keep the original trilogy canon. Directed by Colin Trevorrow it is the fourth instalment of the overall series. The film starred Chris Pratt, hot off from the success of Guardians of the Galaxy, Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Jake Johnson, and Vincent D’Onofrio. The film was a massive success with critics praising it for keeping the concept fresh whilst paying homage to the original Jurassic Park.
