Kriti Sanon flicks to watch ahead of Mimi’s release

In Mimi, a film about a surrogate mother, Kriti Sanon is giving it her all. Putting her body through purposeful weight gain just so her character in the film looks more authentic, Sanon talked about her experience with it on the heels of the trailer release for the movie.

Rife with action and romance, Heropanti features Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff in their Hindi film debut. When Rakesh and Renu elope and are chased by her hostile family, a friend of Rakesh goes above and beyond to keep the couple’s location a secret, not even breaking under threats of violence. Ongoing is also his quest to find the woman of his dreams, the only clue which has to go on is a single earring she left behind. A remake of the Telugu movie Parugu, the film has impressive action sequences.
Luka Chuppi

A box office hit, Luka Chuppi follows the story of a reporter and his intern, whose gander at a live-in relationship leads to hilarious situations. To avoid scandal in a society still holding puritanical values, the couple pretends to be married and try to sell their ruse in every way possible. Kriti Sanon’s performance as the unruly intern garnered praise.

Raj and Meera belong to two of the biggest gangster families, who are bitter rivals. As a result, they are forced to abandon all hopes of pursuing a future together. The estranged lovers are thrown a curveball in life when they discover that their younger siblings are in love with each other. The box office hit features a stellar cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
Bareilly Ki Barfi

Bareilly Ki Barfi focuses on a girl, disillusioned with arranged marriages, who goes on a quest to find out the author of a book whose protagonist she resembles to a T. Along the way, she learns lessons in love and friendship. Kriti Sanon plays the lead and the heartwarming rom-com was well received by critics and viewers alike.

A fresh-faced police inspector, who won the post in a Judo competition, dreams of making his district crime-free. A journalist with a strong sense of justice, played by Sanon, becomes his romantic interest, also aiding him in his endeavour. The movie follows a spoof format, making fun of the usual shallow ‘masala’ films.
Housefull 4

The critically-panned, but commercially successful Housefull 4 is the fourth instalment in the Housefull series. As part of a scheme to get money to pay back a vicious gangster, three brothers decide to marry the daughters of a wealthy businessman. On location for the wedding, the couples discover strange details about their past lives, from a bellboy at their hotel. The film features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol and Riteish Deshmukh.
