The Shape of Water
The Guillermo del Toro-directorial is a romantic tale between a lonely maintenance personnel and an unidentified creature, which is stored in a transparent tank in a secret government facility. The duo begin communicating using sign language and soon forges an unlikely bond. The acclaimed film, starring Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon and Richard Jenkins, bagged 13 Oscar nominations and took home four Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Score and Best Production Design.

Twilight
Based on Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling novels, the Twilight movie series was a favourite among young adults when it was released. The five movies in the franchise revolved around the romance between a vampire named Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and a human Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), and the problems they face when they decide to start a life together. And if handsome vampires weren’t enough, the film also had a hot Taylor Lautner playing a werewolf. No wonder fans were split into Team Edward and Team Jacob.

Beastly
The modern-era reimaging of the fairy-tale, Beauty and the Beast, replaces the arrogant king with a cocky high school student, who is cursed by a witch when he insults her in public. Much like the original, a young girl comes into his life and changes it. The fantasy-drama has Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens in the lead roles with Mary-Kate Olsen in a special appearance.

Warm Bodies
This romcom with a dash of horror is sure to touch your heart, despite it being about zombies. The film turns every zombie film trope on its head. It’s protagonist zombie, Z (Nicholas Hoult), has his heart beating when he encounters the beautiful Julie (Teressa Palmer). Soon, he starts regaining his human senses one by one. This zombie romcom, is directed by Jonathan Levine and is based on the novel by Isaac Marion.
