Based on the novel by Tejaswini Dinesh Pandit, Maat features Bollywood actor Isha Koppikar in the lead role. The story revolves around a young ambitious couple and their unsteady relationship after discovering that their child is deaf-mute. Underlined with strong social messages, the movie showcases the prowess of a mother as she brings up her child. Excellent performances by the ensemble cast back up the strong storyline of Maat.

The sensitive family drama is about the story of Aditi who finds out she has been named the sole heir to the estate of an old music teacher, which leaves her husband puzzled and suspicious. The simple story was way ahead of its time and hence is a must-watch.
