Revolving around an institution for the differently abled, the movie is all about darkness and light, the blind and the sighted, as well as about ignorance and understanding. It shows us that these children don’t need our pity, rather desire for support and motivation. As the visually-impaired principal of the school, Anirudh Parmar, who falls in love with a widowed teacher, Naseeruddin Shah offers some ground realities to the audience, like how few books are printed in Braille and how often these children are falsely thought to be entirely dependent beings, holding up a mirror to the ignorant society.

Heartfelt songs and a tranquil storyline, complemented by a stellar cast – Masoom is a package that ought to be watched. Based on Eric Sehgal’s Man, Woman and Child, the movie focuses on DK Malhotra and his wife, Indu, who suddenly comes to know about her partner’s affair, when his illegitimate son, Rahul, comes to stay with him, throwing their marital life into a toss. Naseeruddin Shah brilliantly essays the role of DK Malhotra, torn between the duties of a father and his guilt as an infidel husband.

Voicing the tide of emotions that the end of a relationship brings with it, leaving numerous memories, regrets,  and a lot of unanswered questions in its wake – Ijaazat is the retrospection that two individuals face about their broken love, at a brief meeting in a railway station on a rainy night, exacting the cost of a heartbreak years ago.
Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro

A satirical classic filled with madcap characters; the movie is sprinkled with jibes about society. Bound to bring a wide grin across your face, it will take you on a rollercoaster ride, from gags to jokes and reality checks, as you try to figure out what will happen next. Focusing on two quirky photographers, Vinod (Naseeruddin Shah) and Sudhir (Ravi Baswani), the movie narrates how they get themselves entangled in a sinister corruption scandal and must rise to the occasion.
8.1OTTplay Rating
An uncompromised reflection of reality, the movie becomes a mirror of the oppression that lower classes have to face every day of their existence, as we gasp at the judicial corruption, conspiracy of silence and the politics of accident, and how violence can serve as a means to escape humiliation, and not to take revenge.
A Wednesday!
8.3OTTplay Rating
An intelligent diatribe against terrorism, the movie is a fresh breath of air in the thriller genre, and is as original as can be. Portraying the role of an anonymous Mumbaikar, Naseeruddin Shah is hell-bent on stirring up the system with his well-planned strategy, tired with the daily scourge, ending with an award-winning speech representing the commoners.

The sky is the limit, for those who dare to dream – this is the core foundation on which Iqbal is based on. The movie revolves around a young boy, who is mute and has hearing difficulties, but desires to get selected in the cricket team. But when he is rejected for being differently abled, he seeks the guidance of a once-legend-now-drunkard cricketer Mohit, and begins the journey to go above and beyond.
