Ritu Arya - Red Notice

Ritu Arya is the newest British Indian actor to catch the world's notice. In the Netflix comic-action drama Red Notice, the actor plays Interpol's Inspector Urvashi Das, who is always on the lookout for Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds' characters.

She rose to notoriety in the UK thanks to her recurring role as Dr Megan Sharma in the enormously popular British soap opera Doctors, for which she was nominated for a British Soap Award in 2014.

In the Sherlock episode titled The Sign of Three, Arya played opposite Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Gail.

Her role as Flash in the science fiction television series Humans garnered her much more attention.

Following Humans, she appeared in supporting roles in Paul Feig's Last Christmas, co-written by Emma Thompson and starring Emilia Ashley, Henry Golding, and Michelle Yeoh.

Arya even appeared in the Fugitive from Judoon episode of the long-running British sci-fi series Doctor Who.

The actor's life was altered in 2016 when her role in the Netflix original The Umbrella Academy transformed her career path. Her portrayal of Lila Pitts in the series is widely regarded as her breakout role.

She subsequently went on to star in the British mystery thriller The Stranger and the comedic drama Feel Good.

If you liked Ritu Arya in Red Notice, here's where else you can watch her!

6.8OTTplay Rating
In this lovely holiday tale, a sad Christmas store elf finds intrigue and inspiration in a mystery visitor. Kate (Emilia Clarke) saunters across London, a tangle of terrible choices accompanied by the jingle of bells on her shoes, another vexing side effect of her employment as an elf in a year-round Christmas store. When Tom (Henry Golding) enters Kate's life and begins to see through so many of her obstacles, he appears to be too good to be true. Nothing should work for these two as London changes into the most delightful time of the year. But there are times when you have to let the snowfall where it may, listen to your heart, and have faith.

Sherlock
9.5OTTplay Rating
Sherlock stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as his devoted friend, Doctor John Watson, and was co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. Inspector Lestrade is played by Rupert Graves. The classic aspects of Conan Doyle's original books remain: they reside at 221b Baker Street, have the same names, and Moriarty is waiting for them somewhere out there. According to Steven Moffat, Conan Doyle's stories aren't about frock coats and gaslight; they're about great detection, terrifying villains, and blood-curdling crimes – and to hell with the crinoline, to be honest. Other investigators have cases, but it's Sherlock Holmes' experiences that matter.

Umbrella Academy
8.4OTTplay Rating
Five repeatedly cautioned his family that using his abilities to escape Vanya's 2019 apocalypse would be dangerous. The time jump scatters the siblings in time in and around Dallas, Texas, as he predicted. Over three years, beginning in 1960, some people have developed lives and moved on after being trapped in the past for years, believing that they are the only ones who have survived. Five is the last to arrive, smack dab in the middle of a nuclear holocaust, which turns out to be the result of the group's timeline disturbance (déjà vu, anyone?). Now the Umbrella Academy must reassemble, learn what triggered doomsday, put a stop to it, and return to the present timeline to prevent the second catastrophe. All while being pursued by a trio of assassins from Sweden. But, truly, there's no pressure here.
