Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat is best remembered as Khalid Mir from Alia Bhatt-starrer Raazi. The actor more recently appeared as Hathi Ram Chaudhary in Paatal Lok. His character on the show was as memorable as 'Hathoda Tyagi' Abhishek Banerjee.

The Film and Television Insititute (FTII) graduate first got his claim to fame with Akshay Kumar-starrer Khatta Meetha, where he played the role of a negative politician, Sanjay Rana.

He then made people take notice of him with Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur. The actor played the role of Shahid Khan in the movie.

Within a short span of time, Ahlawat managed to be a surprise package. He was seen in the role of Sudhir, who played (Urmila Matondkar)'s lover in Lust Stories.

However, before becoming a recognized actor, Ahlawat had also worked in a few films which people probably don't recollect today.

Here are a few of them...

1
Rockstar
8.1OTTplay Rating
The actor played Jordan (Ranbir Kapoor)'s brother Trilok in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar. Considering how Jordan and Heer (Nargis Fakhri) are the only iconic characters in the movie, it was easy to forget that Ahlawat was also part of the movie, that too as Jordan's brother. Rockstar was a film where a young boy, Jordan, finds his passion in music after falling in love and going through heartbreak. The film can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

Gabbar Is Back
6.9OTTplay Rating
Ahlawat was also part of Akshay Kumar's Gabbar Is Back, a movie which tackled corruption in a rather extreme manner. The actor played the role of CBI Officer Kuldeep Pahwa in the film, who was investigating the mysterious 'Gabbar Singh' (the name clearly taken from the legendary antagonist in Sholay). The film can be streamed on Netflix India.
3
Chittagong
7.1OTTplay Rating
Yes, Ahlawat was part of the National Award-winning film, Chittagong. Bedabrata Pain won the best debut director award for the film, which starred talented actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, apart from Ahlawat. The film was based in 1930's war-striken Bangladesh. It followed the story of 14-year-old Jhinku, who had been trying to find a place where he belongs. Chittagong can be streamed on YouTube premium.

Raees
6.6OTTplay Rating
People were so focused on Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's intense battle in Raees, they probably forgot that Ahlawat too was part of the film. The actor played the role of Nawab, who was Musa Bhai (late Narendra Jha)'s assistant in the film. Raees was the rags-to-riches story of a garbage-collector's son turning into a businessman who supplies alcohol illegally. The film was loosely inspired by real-life gangsters, who had come in the form of messiah during tough times. Raees was based in Gujarat and in the times of riots. The film can be viewed on Netflix India.
5
Bard of Blood
6.5OTTplay Rating
Since Bard of Blood was not one of the highest-streamed shows, it is easy to forget that the web series featured Ahlawat as an important character opposite ex-RAW agent 'Kabir Anand' Emraan Hashmi. The actor played the role of Tanveer Shehzaad, who created a rift in Anand's mindset and on the show. His character, who was one of the officers captured, was quite an intriguing one. In Bard of Blood, Anand has been given the task to bring back the high-ranking officers safely. But, like expected, things do not go down that simply. Bard of Blood can be streamed on Netflix India.
