Nagarjuna Akkineni is turning 62 this Sunday. His reputation spans across languages and he’s known for selecting experimental movies and scripts. He debuted with Vikram in 1986 and 35 years later, he is still one of the top stars in Telugu cinema. With his successful collaborations with directors Ram Gopal Varma and Mahesh Bhatt, Nagarjuna has also made his name in Bollywood with Criminal, Shiva, etc.

The actor is currently working on Bangarraju with Kalyan Krishna, an untitled action film with Praveen Sattaru and has shot for Brahmastra, for which he's teaming up with Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor. This would also mark the actor’s second venture with Amitabh Bachchan after Khuda Gawah.

On his birthday, OTTplay recommends his career-best hits that you could enjoy:

1

Geetanjali

5.9
This Mani Ratnam movie deserves credit for making Nagarjuna a romantic hero. Nagarjuna played a terminally ill Prakash who runs away to Ooty to wait for his end, only to fall in love with an ill girl. The movie reiterates that all humans will die one day and should strive to be happy, make others happy while they're alive. Nagarjuna is at his best depicting a happy youth whose life and hopes are overturned one fine day and is left in despair.
