Vidyut Jammwal is certainly up there in the list of action stars that Bollywood has churned out. A remake of the Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha, Force tells the story of a group of police officers who gain the wrath of the brother of a gangster they had slain, putting themselves and their loved ones in grave danger. Vidyut Jammwal, who plays the role of the gangster’s brother, puts up a chilling performance as the ruthless thug on a killing spree, targeting innocent lives. The then-newbie actor, who wasn't phased acting alongside the seasoned John Abraham, was praised for his performance and earned a string of awards for the same.

Junglee
A veterinarian turns avenger when a ruthless hunter kills his father and a beloved elephant, and the former is framed for it. His crusade for revenge soon leads him to unearth an evil ivory smuggling racket. Vidyut Jammwal gives it all as the grieving son out for vindication. Although the movie opened to mixed reviews, Jammwal’s stunts and action performances were the subject of praise, the intricacy of which stands out in the film and are something every action fan must check out.

Inspired by actual events, this action-thriller tells the story of a young man who has to face off against vile human traffickers, after his wife becomes the victim of the flesh trade. This fast-paced thriller sees Vidyut Jammwal play the role of a heroic husband, who takes matters into his own hands to rescue his beloved after the authorities seem to make no headway. The actor nails the part of caring husband turned vigilante, giving a layered performance revolving between tenderness and militant. His performance was lauded by critics and fans alike.

Starring Vijay, this Kollywood film chronicles the adventures of a fearless intelligence agent as he takes on the leader of a terror group and the mastermind behind several bombings. Vidyut Jammwal steps into the shoes of the villain in the film and emulates the role of the leader of a sleeper cell mission, who sets his eyes on destroying the person who foiled his plans. Jammwal’s powerful performance will certainly make you forget that he is a beloved name, and instead, unsettle you with the ruthlessness of his actions. His role won him a SIIMA Award as well.

A Hindi remake of the French drama A Gang Story, Yaara tells the tale of a group of former criminals who come together once again when one among them gets into trouble with the police. Vidyut Jammwal essays the role of Phagun, a criminal-turned-family man whose loyalty towards his friend forces him to step back into the life he had once quit. The actor gives a convincing performance as the gangster with a heart of gold, and as always, steals the show in the movie’s carefully choreographed fight sequences.

Commando - A One Man Army
Widely regarded as the film that gained Vidyut Jammwal the attention of international audiences, Commando: A One Man Army tells the heroic tale of an Indian commando who takes it upon himself to protect a young woman when a goon pursues her. Jammwal shines in his role, packing in as much action as he can muster up, in the high octane sequences, making jaws drop with tricky stunts he nails in every scene. The film has spawned two sequels with the lead star reprising his role.
