Alibaba and 40 Thieves

Alibaba and 40 Thieves is a 1954 Indian Urdu language film. The film was written by JBH Wadia, directed by Homi Wadia, and produced by Wadia Brothers Production under the banner of Basant Studios. The music is given by S N Tripathi and Chitragupta and is based on Arabian Nights fantasy stories of Ali Baba. The cast of the film includes Mahipal, B. M. Vyas, Shakila, S. N. Tripathi, Maruti Rao, Sharda, Lalita Kumari, Shalini, and Sardar Mansoor. The film began when Alibaba and his brother were riding over donkeys when one of the donkeys ran away. Alibaba chased him and found 40 thieves riding inside a while after one of them said ‘Khul Ja Sim Sim’ and the cave gates were opened. He went in and came out as a rich man. As all rich men had many enemies he had his own too.
