Set in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of 2017's Hurricane Maria, Ana follows the story of Ana (Dafne Keen) and Rafa (Andy Garcia). They discover each other by luck. Rafa initially planned to take Ana to a foster home, but eventually keeps her with her mother's abusive boyfriend. As he goes in a cockfight, Ana follows him and realizes he is going bankrupt. She decides to save him. They take a road trip which makes for the rest of the film.
