Sequel to the 2004 film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, the American satirical comedy follows a renowned news anchor who gets a job on New York's first 24-hour news channel after being fired by his boss. His ingenuity and unique sense of news reporting soon take the journalistic world by storm and brings new meaning to news reporting.
Like the original film, the sequel is also directed by Adam McKay, starring Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Christina Applegate in lead roles. It is again produced by Judd Apatow and written by McKay and Will Ferrell. Harrison Ford, Kristen Wiig, James Marsden, Meagan Good, and Dylan Baker join in as the new cast.
