Astitva

Astitva is a 2000 Indian-Marathi language drama film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The film follows the story of Shrikant and Aditi Pandit, who have a son Aniket. In his early years, Shrikant was struggling and Aditi, the newly wed bride, was alone and frustrated. Years later when the Pandits are high and mighty, they receive a parcel at their door. Aditi is named heir to someone’s property, but why? The answer causes a mayhem in the family as Aditi had someone in her life other than her own husband. The movie was the breakthrough for the actress Tabu. Astitva won the best feature film award, in the year 2000 in the Marathi category.
