Bachchan

Raja Chanda directed, Bachchan is a Bengali thriller comedy film released in the year 2014. This movie stars Payel Sarkar, Aindrita Ray, Kanchan Mullick and Jeet. The film is an official Bengali remake of the Kannada film Vishnuvardhan which came in 2011. The storyline of this film represents the life of Bijay, played by Jeet. He is a die hard fan of Amitabh Bachchan who has named himself Bijay (Vijay from Coolie No. 1) and also taken his surname. His father is a washerman but he doesn’t want to be the one and dreams of becoming rich. As the story continues, Bijay steals the mobile phone of an Underworld king named Master and blackmails him to give him money, to get back his phone. What happens next brings a lot of changes and thrills in his life. The film also has doses of comedy in between.
