A remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram, the film takes the roots of the storyline and plants it in a new set of situations. Akshay Kumar plays a villager who fights off his fiance's father's enemies to rescue the fate of the village. Kriti Sanon plays a filmmaker who wants to make a film on the eccentric gangster, who is played by Akshay Kumar. Jacqueline Fernandes plays the girlfriend. Sajid Nadiadwala has written the story for this Farhad Samji directorial. Zee Studios is distributing the film.
