Cast Away

Cast Away is a 2000 American drama film, directed by Robert Zemeckis. The film follows the story of Chuck Noland, A FedEx executive. Chuck is in a serious long-term relationship with Kelly. Chuck is often absorbed in his work. The film is set in the year 1995. Chuck has to go to Malaysia for some work, so he boards the flight and his journey begins. However, the plane passes through a storm, and crashes above the Pacific Ocean. Chuck lives but finds himself deserted on an island. Chuck’s worst nightmare comes to reality when he has to survive with a bunch of cargo stuff and his sanity. Chuck finds a volleyball and names it Wilson and talks to it oftenly. Chuck has no one and has to figure out living on this island, all by himself. Time passes and four years have gone by. Chuck builds a raft, he attempts his escape and when he does he is saved by another ship. He learns that Kelly has married and has kids. Chuck moves on with his life, waiting for greater things to happen.
