Dr. Prakash Baba Amte: The Real Hero

Directed by Samruddhi Porey, Dr Prakash Baba Amte is a 2014 Marathi language film starring Nana Patekar, Mohan Agashe, Sonali Kulkarni & Mayuri Deshmukh. Prakash, a social worker and a doctor gives back to life and society by helping the needy people around him. Prakash noticed a big gap in society in terms of living conditions. Some people were super rich and others lacked even the basic necessities of life. That changed something in him and motivated him to do something for the needy. Together with his wife Dr Mandakini, they moved to sense forests of Hemalkasa to help tribals. Initially there was trouble but slowly the tribals gave in their feeling distrust and recognized the couple as their well wishers. The story is based on truth.
