Hamid

Directed by Aijaz Khan, Hamid is a 2018 Urdu language film starring Talha Arshad Reshi, Rasika Duggal & Vikas Kumar. The film leaves a very strong message with its story and how the character's lives unfold. The story is based on Mohd. Amin Bhatt's Phone No. 786. Hamid, an innocent and juvenile child cannot make peace with his father's disappearance so he constructs a phone number with Allah's lucky number 786 in it. Surprisingly, the phone gets answered by a CRPF soldier and he empathizes with Hamid's tale of his lost father. Amidst the days that follow, Hamid & his mother learn about his father's demise and the two show great emotional intelligence and deal with the news in a manner that was totally unexpected of them. The story depicts how adaptable humans are and their capability to endure anything and everything.
