Hope and a Little Sugar

This is a drama film that stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Vikram Chatwal, Amit Sial and Suhasini Mulay. It premiered as well as won an award at the South Asian International Film Festival in New York. The film follows the life of a Muslim photographer, Ali who lives in New York. He forms a special friendship with a married Sikh woman, Saloni Oberoi whose husband dies in 9/11 attacks. Saloni's father sees Ali as his enemy because of his caste and mistreats him but the situation changes when he, himself is detained because he is a Sikh.
