Kakkakuyil

Directed by Priyadarshan, a 2001 film, “Kakkakuyil”, stars Mohanlal as Sivaraman, Arzoo Govitrikar as Radhika Menon, and Suneil Shetty as Kunjunni in a cameo appearance. This Malayalam comedy-drama movie involving a heist is streaming on MX Player and Amazon Prime Video. Priyadarshan, with his direction, presents Kakkakuyil, which comprises the core plot roughly phrased from the 1988 English movie, “A Fish Called Wanda”, and the sub-plot from the Marathi play Ghar Ghar related to a blind couple. Produced under the banner Kalyani Film Society, the film explores a heist by two friends, which put them into severe trouble moving forward. It is about Sivaraman who arrives in Mumbai for his visa, but circumstances lead him to his friend Govindan Kutty and then to a robbery planned by Thomas. The movie has a similar plot to Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, where a group of friends lives in a house with a blind couple.
