A Film That Has A Bold Intent, But Fails To Engage The Audience
Too Feeble To Be Funny
while some might find the pace too indulgent and the courtroom melodrama striking a lightly discordant note nearing the climax, it is this unhurried narrative that also helps build up the characters and showcase their sensibilities beautifully.
The trouble with this film is that quite soon it chickens out. From a comedy with a strong ‘social’ component which could have been a barrel of meaningful laughs, it turns into a soppy melodrama.
there is so much that Khandaani Shafakhana (Family Health Clinic) could have offered.
While this film’s intent is bang on, what it really needed was a heavier dose of humour and entertainment.
