Manchester by the Sea

Manchester by the Sea, a 2016 movie is directed by Kenneth Lonergan. It is an American drama film, starring Casey Affleck as Lee Chandler and Lucas Hedges as Patrick Chandler. The movie starts with Joe dying before Lee could get him to a hospital and leaves his son, Patrick’s responsibility on Lee. When Lee comes across Joe’s attorney and learns about Patrick’s legal guardian being him(Lee), he reminisces about the time, when his negligence made death beds for his three children. The highlight of this movie was a scene where Lee and his ex-wife, Randi, shared the screen, which also garnered most of the praise. It has also been phrased as the movie, which "ranks with the year’s very best films" and that "it takes a piece out of you."
