Mr. Jones

The 2019 biographical thriller film is directed by Agnieszka Holland, and has cinematography done by Tomasz Naumiuk. The film was nominated for a Golden Bear award at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. Written by Andrea Chalupa, the plot revolves around a zealous Welsh journalist named Gareth Jones, who gained prominence for his interview with the infamous leader of the Nazi Party, Adolf Hitler. Things take an unexpected turn as he illegally travels to the Soviet Union in an attempt to interview Stalin about the union’s seemingly prosperous five-year development plan. Starring James Norton as Gareth Jones, the rest of the cast includes Vanessa Kirby, Peter Sarsgaard, Kenneth Cranham, Joseph Mawle, Celyn Jones, Krzysztof Pieczyński, Beata Poźniak, Fenella Woolgar, Maritn Bishop, Edward Wolstenholme, Marcin Czarnik and Matthew Marsh.
