Directed by Jaipraad Desai and produced by Arti Sachin, Nagrik is a 2015 Marathi language film starring Dilip Prabhavalkar, Sachin Khedekar, Shriram Lagoo & Sulabha Deshpande. Journalist Shyam Jagdale exposes the idea of a potential riot planned by corrupt politician Vikas Patil by publishing about it in his newspaper's column. Vikas Patil wanted to instigate the riots and blame them on the minority community & then sympathize with them to gain their support. The turbulence caused because of it creates a pressure on the publication house but the fearless journalist that Shyam is, he keeps on doing his bit and creates awareness in the public about the agenda and propogandas behind them.
