Paandurangadu

Pandurangadu, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, is based on the life story of Pundarika and comes under the genre of a biographical film. Pandurangadu follows a story where Nandamuri Balakrishna evolves in a dual role as Lord Krishna and as Pundarika. In this movie, Tabu plays a supporting role where she is in the character of a dancer. This biographical drama movie marks the remake of Panduranga Mahatyam, an old Telugu movie, released back in 1957, where NTR played the lead role. Pundarika follows Lord Krishna only to replicate his mischievous doings, fatefully gets married to a true devotee of Lord Krishna, Lakshmi. However, the movie moves into the unpredictable arrival of a dancer, Amrutha, who ruins his married life, and circumstances lead him to his worst time in life.
