The Getaway King

The film mixes high-octane action, abundant comedy, and crime-caper elements as it portrays the final days of communism in Poland. It revolves around a thief who escapes from the clutches of the cops thirty times. The protagonist determinedly lives a life free of the reins of the authorities and the larger system, till the fall of the Berlin Wall drastically alters everything. Mateusz Rakowicz has directed the film. It draws from real-life events and accounts of the infamous Najmrodzki.
