VANESSA DOYLE (Erin Krakow), creator of Tying the Knot - A Wedding Guide, has a contest for one lucky couple to win an all-expense paid wedding to launch her new book. The winning couple are in need of a short turnaround for their weddingsince the groom is due for Military deployment and the bride is finishing grad school in a few short weeks. They have chosen to get married in Vermont at The Wedding Cottage which sounds like a dream come true, except unbeknownst to Vanessa this cottage has been closed for years and is in need of a tremendous amount of repairs. In fact, it has become a temporary home for artist EVAN SUTHERLAND (Brendan Penny), who inherited this cottage from his grandmother with no intentionof reopening. After some highs and lows in the art scene Evan has been here hiding out trying to find inspiration for his next masterpiece especially now that he's gotten news he will be in an upcoming art show around the same time as the wedding. To avoid letting her clients down and a possible PR fiasco, Vanessa is determined to restore the cottage in time for the wedding. With only 5 weeks to get it all done, Vanessa must use all her New York charm to convince Evan to reopen the cottage and build relationships with the people of Stony Bridge to create a magical wedding for her clients. This is the last wedding she hopes to plan before she makes Tying the Knot a full-time business, so everything must be perfect. Maybe it's her persistence and can do attitude but Vanessa has unlocked a softer side of Evan that helps reignite his artistic mojo sparking the creation of a new sculpture for the art show. As Vanessa and Evan get closer it becomes clear just how much The Wedding Cottage has meant to the people of Stony Bridge and how much more it now means to the two of them.
