Mararthi film, Befaam, first released on February 26 this year and is now coming to Zee5. From the trailer itself, the film looks quite interesting and boasts to be packed with both action and romance with an underlying social message. It stars Siddharth Chandekar, Sakhi Gokhale, Nachiket Parnapurtre among others and is directed by Krishna Kamble and produced by Amol Kagne.
Here are five things that stand out in the film:
1. Pressure from parents regarding career choices
This life is a rat race and if you lag behind, you get trampled. Siddharth plays the role of a guy confused about his career and tries his hands at both neurosurgery and even military at the insistence of his parents but fails to make it through because of a defect in his eyes. Hence, he ends up as a Radio Jockey.
2. Radio Station setting
The radio station setting makes for a refreshing backdrop for the movie along with simple yet pleasing cinematography by Prasad Bhende.
3. A great chemistry
Siddharth meets RJ Nandita (Sakhi Gokhale) at his workplace and falls for her. The actors have been lauded for their chemistry on screen. As Nandita reveals her decision to marry someone, Siddharth is heartbroken and decides to leave his job and shift to another city.
4. Importance of friendship
More than the romance, the movie also focuses on the friendship between Siddharth and Rohan (Niaachiket Parnapurte) and the support the latter provides throughout the film.
5. The twist in the tale
The movie takes an explosive (quite literally) turn which you can’t anticipate and propels in a different direction after Siddharth leaves his job.
Apart from the pace, which lags in a few places, Befaam is definitely worth a watch.
