With October just around the corner, major OTT platforms have announced their slate of upcoming releases. There is something that will resonate with every one — whether its a romantic comedy, horror or a drama. It's hard to keep track of what's new, so at OTTPlay have compiled a list that will help you pick the best watch.


The Guilty - October 1

The crime thriller, directed by Antoine Fuqua, stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Christina Vidal in lead roles, The film had its world premiere at the recent Toronto International Film Festival.

Diana: The Musical - October 1

Based on the life of Princess Diana, Diana: The Musical is a tribute to the late royal. Jeanna de Waal plays the iconic character in the project.

The Babysitters Club (Season 2) - October 11

Based on the best-selling book series by Ann M Martin, The Babysitter Club returns to Netflix for a second season. The story follows seven friends who set up a babysitting business, which only seems to grow. In this season, the friends will be seen dealing with a new school year, managing their business, new relationships, and learning new life lessons.

You (Season 3) - October 15

This season of the creepy psychological thriller series will follow Joe (Penn Badgley) and Love (Victoria Pedretti), who have settled into a life in the suburbs. However, Joe’s basic nature takes over as he develops an obsessive likeness for their neighbour Natale (Michaela McManus).

Little Things (Season 4) - October 15

In the fourth and final season, Dhruv (Dhruv Sehgal) and Kavya (Mithila Palkar) overcome the hurdles of being in a mature relationship — distance, familial pressure to marry, ambition and more.

Tiger King 2 - October 17

The follow-up to the widely-watched true crime docuseries of 2020 will once again follow the eccentric Joe Exotic, who is now incarcerated for a murder attempt on his nemesis Carol Baskin.

Night Teeth - October 20

A horror thriller directed by Adam Randall, the film has Jorge Lendeborg Jr, Debby Ryan and Megan Fox in lead roles.

LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales - October 1

Produced by Atomic Cartoons, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm Ltd, the Halloween special will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar October 1. Directed by Ken Cunningham, it features the voices of Jake Green and Raphael Alejandro among others.

Lift (Tamil) - October 1

Directed by Vineeth Varaprasad, the horror thriller stars Kavin and Amritha in lead roles. The film's story revolves around two software employees who get trapped in a haunted office lift.

Shiddat - October 1

Shiddat, starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan and Diana Penty, is a story of star-crossed couple Kartika and Jaggi, committed to staying together despite the many obstacles coming their way.

Succession (Season 3) - October 18

The HBO series, hitting Disney+ Hotstar this October, will once again follow the messed-up dynamics of the wealthy Roy family as they compete against each other for ownership of their billion-dollar empire.

Bingo Hell - October 1

This tale revolves around a senior citizen, who stands by her community and neighbourhood in the hour of crisis, protecting them from an evil force.

Black as Night - October 1

A teenager spends her summer taking on vampires preying on New Orleans' disenfranchised in the company of a best friend, her crush and a rich girl.

The Manor - October 8

Judith Albright, after a stroke, shifts to a nursing home, where she comes across a series of supernatural activities preying on its residents.

Madres - October 8

A woman, who's expecting her first child, experiences strange symptoms and terrifying visions after relocating to a migrant farming community in California.

I Know What You Did Last Summer - October 15

Based on Lois Duncan’s novel of the same name, I Know What You Did Last Summer follows teenagers being stalked by a deranged serial killer, a year after a fatal accident that took place on their high school’s graduation night. The teen horror series stars Madison Iseman and Brianne Tju.

Maradona: Blessed Dream - October 29

The biographical drama series follows the life and career of the late Argentinian football legend Diego Maradona. The Alejandro Aimetta directorial stars Esteban Recagno, Ezequiel Stremiz, Luciano Vittori in key roles.

Invasion - October 22

The science fiction television series, created by Simon Kinberg and David Wells, follows people from different regions of Earth and their perspective when an alien invasion takes place.

Swagger - October 29

Swagger, through the stories of young basketball players, their families and coaches, will focus on the politics and corruption involved in the sporting world.
