Every time we open Twitter, the top trends are mostly "Boycott Bollywood", "Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha" and many others. The desire to cancel films, particularly Hindi ones, has grown in popularity in recent years. However, Aamir Khan, who is returning to the movies after four long years, is bearing the brunt of the same. His film, Laal Singh Chaddha, is hitting the big screens on August 11, alongside Akshay Kumar starrer Raksha Bandhan. But it's Khan's film which people want to boycott on the Internet.

And yes, the superstar also has a reaction to it as he feels that people believe he is anti-national. In a recent held group media interaction, Khan stated, "Yes, I feel sad. Also, I feel sad that some of the people who are saying this believe that I am someone who doesn't like India. They believe it in their hearts, but it is not true. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way. That's not the case. Please don't boycott my film. Please watch my film."

Talking about Laal Singh Chaddha, the film is the Hindi adaptation of the 1994 Hollywood film, Forrest Gump, which featured Tom Hanks in the titular role. The upcoming movie is directed by Advait Chandan and also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles.

During the same interview, Khan also revealed that for his role, he grew his beard for six months and also had to shave it off as he planned to make his son Junaid Khan's debut with Laal Singh Chaddha as a leading actor. However, after several discussions, the superstar finally decided that he would be headlining the film. Hence, he had to grow his beard once again to get the perfect look as innocent Laal Singh Chaddha.

The film marks the third outing of Aamir and Kareena after 3 Idiots and Talaash.
