Aamir Khan is currently getting ready for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha, which will see the actor return to the big screen after four years. Aamir, who is now busy with the promotional works of his upcoming movie, has also talked about how the mindset of the audience have changed and how the popularity of OTT platforms have affected it.

Talking to the media in an event, Aamir said that he is always concerned ahead of a movie's release because the trade keeps changing and that he has to go through it ahead of the release of all his movies.

About the changes that have happened following the popularity of OTT, the actor said, “What has happened with OTT is that the taste of the audience has improved. The audience has become much more finer. They appreciate finer things. They are less forgiving. If your screenplay is weak or something, they move onto other content.”

Aamir added that he feels like the audience has evolved as there is very good content in every language on OTT and that these days movies are released on OTT faster. He further stated that he has always tried to keep a gap of six months before his movie goes to OTT after its theatrtical release.

Aamir Khan’s Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Studios have joined hands to produce Laal Singh Chaddha, which is the official Hindi remake of Robert Zemeckis’ Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks in the lead.

The Hidni remake, which is helmed by Advait Chandan, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in important roles. The coming-of-age movie is set to hit theatres on August 11, and will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan.
