After Atrangi Re, Dhanush to collaborate with Aanand L Rai for a third time

Dhanush will once again be seen in another Aanand L Rai feature, his third collaboration with the filmmaker-producer after Raanjhanaa and the recent Atrangi Re. 

According to Pinkvilla, the new project will be an "action-packed love story" produced by Rai's Colour Yellow Productions. 

"While he played a lover boy in Raanjhanaa and Atrangi Re, it’s a full-blown commercial avatar for the actor in this film," a source close to the development told the outlet. 

Details on who will direct the untitled film are yet to be revealed. 

Pinkvilla further adds that Dhanush has another Hindi language film, produced by a "big producer" in the pipeline.

Atrangi Re, which was released on Disney+ Hotstar on December 24 last year, also stars Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar in pivotal roles. 

Meanwhile, the actor is awaiting the release of Tamil action-thriller Maaran directed by Kartick Naren. 

The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, with Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, Krishnakumar Balasubramanian and Mahendran. Maaran will have a digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar in February. 

Dhanush is also a part of Anthony and Joe Russo-directed Netflix film The Gray Man.
