Akhil Akkineni is leaving no stone unturned to push the bar and prove himself as a capable action hero with his next film, Agent. The spy thriller, directed by Surender Reddy, introduces Sakshi Vaidya to Telugu cinema and will also have Malayalam star Mammootty playing a crucial role. Vakkantham Vamsi has written the story of the actioner bankrolled by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments in collaboration with Surender 2 Cinema.

Earlier today, the makers of Agent announced that the Akhil Akkineni starrer will have a pan-Indian release in as many as five languages - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Agent is all set to be the biggest release in the actor's career and the team is confident that the film would appeal to audiences with different tastes across the country. They've also announced the teaser launch date of Agent - July 15.

"After This Date... Every One Across Pan India Will Be Looking For A..GENT ... A WILD ONE Style is gonna be... Travelled On July 15th," the producer shared on his social media handle while sharing the video of the announcement. The film, that is being made on a lavish scale, has more or less wrapped its shoot. The team believes Akhil's physical transformation and the stylish action sequences would the major highlights of the film.

Hip Hop Thamizha, who teamed up with Surender Reddy for Dhruva earlier, scores the music for the film. Rasool Ellore is the cinematographer and Navin Nooli is the editor. Avinash Kolla handles art direction. Ajay Sunkara, Pathi Deepa Reddy are the co-producers. Akhil's last release was Most Eligible Bachelor alongside Pooja Hegde, that's now streaming on aha and Netflix. Surender Reddy's previous film was Chiranjeevi's magnum-opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
