It's no mean task to produce a pan-Indian film, choose an appropriate cast, crew and a team that'll help get it a wide release and draw crowds from various corners of the country. Allu Arjun's upcoming two-part action franchise, Pushpa, directed by Sukumar is gearing up for a release on December 17 in multiple languages. Pushpa, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, has been widely promoted as a pan-Indian film and was touted to release in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
However, rumours have indicated that the film's Hindi version may not release on December 17, owing to a clause with the distributor. The suspicion that Pushpa (The Rise) may not be a pan-Indian release on December 17 has irked the fans of Allu Arjun. Moreover, the absence of promotional activity in the lead up to the release has added insult to the injury. Demanding clarity on the same, the fans of Icon Staar have trolled the film's producers Mythri Movie Makers, with the hash tags, 'WORST PRODUCTION FOR PUSHPA #UnworthyProductionMythri', that have been trending nationwide. Here are some of the tweets.
There has been no official confirmation about the Hindi release to date. Pushpa The Rise, the first part, has already neared completion. Three singles from the film, including Daakko Daakko Meka, Srivalli and Saami Saami are a hit with music lovers already. Pushpa has music by Devi Sri Prasad. The film, whose story is inspired by real incidents and is based on a group of sandalwood smugglers, is edited by Karthika Srinivas and cinematographed by Miroslaw Brozek. Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sritej, Dhananjay essay supporting roles.
