Sree Vishnu, who has been going through a rough patch from Thippara Meesam (to the recent release Bhala Thandanana) with a flurry of unsuccessful films, would be keen to bounce back to form with his upcoming cop drama Alluri. Kayadu Lohar is the leading lady of the film written and directed by Pradeep Varma. Bekkem Venugopal bankrolls the film under Lucky Media.
The film’s release date was officially confirmed by the makers recently. Alluri will hit theatres on September 23. Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga is the only major release slotted for the month as of now. Unless and until a biggie announces its release date in the same weekend, Alluri’s release plans are likely to remain unaffected. Given, it’s a season where Dasara holidays begin, they’re confident of the timing.
Bekkem Babita is the presenter of Alluri. In the film, the titular character, played by Sree Vishnu, is named after Telugu freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju. The makers have even come up with a tagline ‘Nijayitheeki Maaru Peru (Synonym for Sincerity)’ The first look poster and teaser of the film opened to impressive responses from netizens recently.
Tanikella Bharani, Suman, Madhusudhan Rao, Pramodini, Raja Ravindra, Prudhvi Raj, Ravi Varma, Jaya Vani, Vasu Inturi, Vennela Rama Rao, Srinivas Vadlamani too play important roles in the film.
