Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan recently made headlines when he conveyed a heartfelt message to Alphonse Puthren through an audio recording, praising the Premam director for a song he composed, and also asking him to take care of his health. Alphonse Puthren replies to Kamal Haasan’s heartfelt message
In the Instagram post, Kamal had shared a photo of himself, standing next to a piano. The legendary actor is seen wearing an off-white turtleneck sweater with beige pants striking a stylish pose. “Play on!”, he captioned it.
Alphonse commented on the post saying that the picture was actually intended for him and that the audio message sent earlier has inspired him to sing, compose and dance to many songs.
Alphonse’s comment read, “I think this is for me. I don't talk about the Grand Piano sir. I was taught to play the Grand Piano by a church sister who was our teacher in Lena School Lovedale ( Ooty ) . Now I don’t remember anything she taught , because I was in 1st grade . I’m going to start playing piano sir 😊. After your words I felt really happy. It has given me the energy to sing and compose and dance for a minimum 5000 songs.”
The Premam director dedicated a song to Kamal Haasan on his birthday
Alphonse had recently composed a birthday song for Kamal and shared it with actor-filmmaker R Parthiban. Parthiban, in turn, forwarded the song to the actor, who personally thanked the director and extended his good wishes in return.
Kamal’s audio clip was shared by Parthiban on his social media handle. In it, Kamal is heard complimenting Alphonse’s song for him. “He [Alphonse] may not be physically well, but from the sound of it I can feel his mind is very healthy. His voice sounds so content, and I hope he remains the same way further on as well.”
Kamal also spoke about Alphonse’s decision to stay away from cinema. “The decision he has to take is personal, but do ask him to take care of his health. Take care, Alphonse,” he said.
Apart from Kamal, Sudha Kongara, the director of Soorarai Potru, also conveyed her greetings to Alphonse. She said that during her tough times, Premam was a source of happiness, and that she pledged to continue enjoying his projects in any form he chooses to present them.
